Molemen[]

(Buggane/Dwarf)

Deep within the recesses of the earth, buggane bring their meals back to their lairs, but some survive long enough for hybrids to occur. No matter the parentage of the meal, the offspring of buggane mixed births all have similar characteristics. Smaller than their buggane parent, but still massive humanoids, molemen are hairless, pale humanoids with small, milky orbs where developed eyes should be. Hunched backs and large hands more resembling paws than hands round out the inhuman appearance of molemen.

Molemen, if allowed to survive, eke out an existence on the edges of buggane warrens and live out their lives as scavengers. Abnormally fecund, molemen can interbreed with a wide variety of humanoids, and each other, at an alarming rate. Single births are unusual, and triplets are the most common. This, coupled with their fast maturity rate, allows for a large amount of molemen to exist, compared to the few that are originally created as hybrids.

Most molemen encountered outside of buggane territory have connected themselves to other underground cultures that they believe they will have a better life with. Unable to function well on the surface, molemen rarely make alliances with surfaces races.

MOLEMEN

  • +2 Strength, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma: Molemen are strong and cunning, but foul looking and unsociable.
  • Type: Molemen are humanoids with the giant subtype.
  • Medium: Molemen are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties based on size.
  • Speed: 30 feet, Burrow 20 feet.
  • Blindsight: 30 feet.
  • Gore: Molemen have a gore attack that deals 1d6 damage.
  • Blind (Ex): Molemen are blind. They are immune to gaze attacks, visual effects, illusions, and other attack forms that rely on sight.

WEAKNESSES

  • Blind (Ex): Molemen are blind. This makes reading or any other sort of visual perception impossible. All rolls related to visual perception automatically fail.

ALTERNATE RACIAL TRAIT

  • Burly: Molemen with the Burly trait are even more massive than their peers. This trait increases the molemans weight by 2d10, and their height by 6 inches. It also adds a natural armor of +1, and allows the moleman to take the monstrous feat Improved Natural Armor. This trait reduces both of the molemans speeds by 10, but the molemans speed is never slowed by encumbrance. This trait may not be taken with Fast Digger.
  • Claws: Some molemens claws are more suited to combat that to digging. Molemen with this trait gain 2 claw attacks that do 1d4 damage each. This trait replaces Gore and reduces the molemans burrow speed by 10 feet.
  • Fast Digger: Molemen with this trait are smaller, faster creatures than their brethren. This trait removes the +2 bonus to strength and places in onto Dexterity. It also removed 2d10 from the molemans weight and reduced their height by 6 inches. The molemans burrow speed improves to 30 feet, and removes the molemans Gore attack. This trait may not be taken with Burly.
